vCenter Server Appliance install stalls at 80%

Issue at hand

I’m currently trying to deploy VCSA again after I borked the install I had, and I get into a interesting issue. The install stalls at 80% and then later times out.

And the deploy of the appliance on the ESX host hangs at 99% and never completes.

I have currently no ideas of what is happening, and the logs does not seem to give me any clues.

Update 20181228

The deploy I was running, was running from an virtual Windows instance on my MacOS. Running the deploy from the MacOS itself seems to work much better, so I presume there is some underlying network issue here causing this.

Lesson learned: If you encounter this issue, always try to deploy from another place.
